About Kristin

I love my family. I have two crazy kids that make everyday fun and a wonderful husband who gives really great golf tips despite the fact that I’m a terrible golfer in my spare time!

I have a love for kitchens in my DNA. My family has been in the kitchen business since I was a young woman. When I had the opportunity to strike out on my own, I had such a deep background in kitchens that starting my own business with a focus on kitchens was a no-brainer. Creating beauty in the lives of my clients is one of my greatest passions, and seeing those smiles when they see their new kitchen is the reward for all of the hard work we do together to lovingly craft their dream.

I opened Kitchen Gallery & Interiors when I was a wee girl in my mid-twenties and I can tell you that the past 13 years of running this business have been the most challenging but rewarding of my life so far and I know it will only get better. I’m an interior designer who studied at Sheridan Institute of Design and Technology and while it was an incredibly demanding program, I came out the other end of those years of study with so much knowledge. All well and good but there is nothing like the wisdom gained from working to grow and build your own business based on your own dreams and goals. Mine are simple:

I LOVE design. Seriously, I’m obsessed with it. To me, it’s our homes that help to tell a story to the world about who we are and what we care about but they are also places for us to breathe a big exhale at the end of the day. A good designer, as I aspire to be every day, tries to pull back the curtain on what will make each and every client take a big sigh of relief when they come home and shut the world out behind them. It’s not the same for everyone. I try to pull out the best snippets of things you’ve said, objects you love, and materials you’re drawn to in order to create a space that causes your shoulders to drop down just a little bit lower each time you come home. What an honour for me!
